Lesson 1 of 9
What is web content?
What is web content?
Web content is any information published on a website that a visitor can read, watch, or interact with — text, images, video, audio, and the small bits of copy on buttons and menus. Good content answers a visitor's question or helps them complete a task.
Unlike a printed page, web content is scanned, not read. People arrive with a goal, glance around, and leave the moment they're confused. Your job is to make the right information obvious, fast.
- Text: articles, product descriptions, headings, microcopy
- Media: images, video, audio
- Interactive: forms, buttons, links
