Lesson 4 of 8
How search engines work
How search engines work
Search engines crawl pages, index them, and rank them for queries. To rank, content must be discoverable, relevant, and trustworthy.
You influence ranking with relevance (matching intent), quality (depth and accuracy), and authority (links and reputation). SEO is earning a good answer, not tricking the algorithm.
